The client is a leading US based builder that provides automation solutions for custom smart homes. Their requirement was to design the home automation gateway which enables the system to communicate with various off-the-shelf ZigBee and Z-Wave based smart electronics and interfaces.
Glide offered Arm Cortex-A9 and Linux OS based engineering solution compatible to ZigBee and Z-Wave which supports BLE, Wi-Fi, wired interfaces and also gives cloud based control by easy integration with existing network. The product enabled communication and control over various range of smart home devices such as lighting automation system, security & surveillance systems, music systems, home appliances etc.
The Product lifecycle process involved System Architecture, Hardware Design, Firmware Development and Prototype Testing.
