Executive Summary
Renowned hospitals and pharmaceuticals are adopting automation technology to increase efficiency in their routine as well as crucial operations in present times. The client is a part of such group and had requirement to automate process of medicine storage and refilling in major hospitals and pharmacy centre for ease of operations like tracking medicine requirement for individual patients.
Glide team developed a system at 2 stations i.e. medicine filing and charging station. The medicine filing station handled storage and refilling of medicines in each tray based on individual prescription. The charging station was used to recharge the tray.

Glide Solution
Glide provided 32-bit ultra-low power MCU based solution with Wi-Fi Module for network connectivity with hospital system.
- Medicine filing station:
- It contains 9 helper trays, each tray containing 32 blocks for medicines.
- The receiver tag at the station collects the data through the RFID tag attached to each tray to refill the medicine.
- Manual LED indication on the tray front also helps in manual medicine dose management.
- Charging station
- The tray is equipped with rechargeable Li- ion battery (3700 mAh). If the charging is required, a slot of USB charging is given in tray front as well as provision of wireless charging coil in the back.
- LED indication is placed in the front face of tray to manually know the charging levels and act accordingly.
- Each tray has the RFID tag which even serves the purpose of the sending the signals when the charging of a tray is low.
